Virgin Mobile is the world's first virtual network operator (MVNO), meaning that Virgin does not maintain its own network, and rather has contracts to use existing networks of other operators. This is an advantage for the customer, as Virgin customers can leverage the combined T-Mobile/Orange/EE network at no additional costs, and enjoy the strongest signal across the wider EE network, with minimal disruption regardless of the location.
